How To Send Money On BHIM App

BHIM App (BHIM-Bharat Interface for Money) is a mobile app launched by the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), a government of India initiative for money transactions. The Bhima app is based on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI). It was launched by the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, at the Digi Dhan Mela at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on 30 December 2016. Through this app, we can easily transfer money from one bank account to another bank by using mobile number or Aadhaar number. The goal of this app is to boost e-payments and cashless transactions.

So let’s see how we can send money in BHIM App:
Through BHIM App, we can send money in the following ways.

via virtual payment addres (VPA)
By registered mobile number
By Aadhaar number
By Account No + IFSC Code
step 1:
First of all, you log in by applying. On login, you will see three options under Transfer Money Send, Receive and Sacn and Pay, if you have not installed BHIM App yet, click on this link

Step 2:
To send money, you have to click the Send option. Clicking in the Send option will initiate your Send request.


Step 3:
After initiate the send request, you will have three options Mobile / Payment Address / Aadhaar You can fill the details of any one of these three. When you fill in the details, you will see the option to verify. You have to click on verify.

Step 4:
After clicking verify, you will be shown the name of the person whose Mobile / Payment Address / Aadhaar details you have filled. After verifying it, you can enter the amount and give comments and click on the Pay option.

Note: 1) Here you will get another option “save for future” By ticking this option you can use it for your future transactions.

2) To transact through Account No + IFSC Code, you have to click on three points in the right side of send money. After clicking, you will see the option of (ACCOUNT + IFSC), click it and then fill all the information. Then click on SEND.

Step 5:
After clicking on the Pay option, you will be given the option to enter your UPI PIN. By entering this PIN and tapping the right tick, you can complete your transaction.

Note: In this page you will see a drop down list at the top which you can click to know all the information related to your transaction.

Step 6:

After your transaction is complete, you will receive a confirmation message which you can see in the App. And after the transaction is complete, you will also get a message on your mobile number.
